Blue eyes, Baby.

This morning we were lying on the rug in the living room, face to face, giving kisses on both cheeks (it’s our thing), when Jasper stopped. He studied my face, smiled, and said “Blue!”
Then he pointed at my eyes, and touched them gently, and said “Blue eyes, Mama. Blue!”
I laughed and told him that HIS eyes were blue, also. That they were almost the same blue as mine, and that I loved sharing this with him. I asked if he wanted to look in a mirror and see what I meant, and he nodded in the affirmative.
We went into the bathroom and looked at our eyes, and I pointed at mine, and then his, and told him we both had blue eyes. He grinned, and happily said “Blue eyes, mama, baby, blue eyes. Blue eyes, Mama. Blue eyes, Baby.”
