I am currently obsessed with our bedroom

…and not in a kinky way (somewhere in the world, Sean’s reading this and going “Damn!”).

BUT FOR REAL. I recently discovered that Sean has never washed the actual duvet inside our duvet cover before. He’s had that thing for a million years, and I kind of assumed that, you know, he WASHED IT once in a while. Turns out that nope! He just washed the cover! Which can kind of fly, I guess, but it still grosses me out. Plus, we’ve had our child in and on top of the duvet. Let’s just say it really needs to be cleaned.

PS: are you a co-sleeper? Incontinence pads may be your (kid’s and mattresses’s) best friend.

Moving on.

I’m into stuff like this reversible duvet cover from a fabbo website called Full Moon Loom. I actually had never heard of that site until I googled “Indian bedspread” but now I’m happy that I have. Ideally, I’d want to have a few different covers, and by a few I mean around fifteen. I like to mix it up. However, those suckers are $75 and there’s NO WAY I’m spending $1125 on covers for a duvet that HAS NEVER BEEN CLEANED. (For the record, it’s in the car and I’m supposed to take it a dry cleaner’s, assuming they do that kind of thing, later today.)

I’m also way into this: http://www.indusdecor.com/store/p378.html. I don’t even know how to describe it other than to say HEAVENLY, so a link and photo will suffice:

I keep finding myself cruising Etsy for vintage sheets and table cloths — this is totally foreign to me, as 98% of my Etsy shopping up until last night was devoted to clothing for Jasper, Sean, and myself, and the other 2% was art. Something snapped in me last night and I spent a solid hour going through page after page of the most amazing little finds. Finds that are, in fact, so amazing I hesitate to link you to them in case I do decide that $14 is totally a reasonable amount to spend on a toothbrush holder (it’s not. To me.).

I was going to attempt to make curtains for our room this afternoon until I asked Sean if there were any colors he DIDN’T want (much easier than asking what he would want) and I was told that his asthma doctor always recommends that he avoids having curtains. Sean then added that he should probably also avoid living in this region of the country since he has asthma, but changing location is a much bigger issue than not putting up curtains. I’m mildly bummed, because I thought curtains would be a cute! and homey! touch to the room. Plus, now I’m out of ideas.

I keep going back and forth to this piece from Shawn Hileman on Urban Outfitters. I found his Etsy shop, only to discover that I can’t buy it directly from him. He only charges $20 for a similar, but 3D version, which leads me to believe I’d be seriously ripped off (plus disgusted by myself) if I purchased it from UO in the first place.

And so. In short, that’s my head right now. It’s all “Edit these posts! Edit those photos! OH WAIT LOOK AT THAT COOL BEDSPREAD.”

What.
