They’re only a couple of crazy cougars
I am OBSESSED with this song:

and this:

The top one is my new favorite photo booth (as in, a real photo booth) snap that Jazz and I have taken. He looks so sweet, so big, and so happy. The bottom is the first of a series of BADASS MANAGERIAL OFFBEAT EMPIRE MEETINGS (it must be in all caps to emphasize the badassness of it). We’ve all been Google+ing (can I say that?) today had our first HANGOUT. I’ve met Ariel, but never Megan and Cat. This has me so incredibly excited for Geek Girl Con.. holy moly. HOLY MOLY. Maybe one day the Empire will grow to a size that would encourage us each to relocate and live in Happy Empire Land (um, Seattle, I guess?) and have fun forever.
I am basically thrilled with my life right now in every single aspect of it that I can think of. I realize that I’m probably jinxing something here, but things are going swimmingly. Ashley and I had a wedding published in the Summer/Fall issue of Southern Bride Alabama, which marks our first wedding feature in a magazine. Sean, Jasper, and I are running off to Harry Potter World (FOR FREE — I got comp tickets through Offbeat Mama) soon, and Kim and I have a series of concerts and trips lined up that will keep us happy through September. I’m also reading a very fantastic, very dramatic book from the 70s called Ballerina (which I also got for FREE! at a thrift store) that I 100% recommend if you’re at all interested in ballet. Or drama. Or anything.
Oh, and speaking of… a certain two-year-old was signed up for ballet classes which will begin this fall. We went after he asked us if he could take ballet (“Jasper do ballet?”) and I leapt around the room, pretending I can do a pirouette. I realize expressing an interest doesn’t mean he’ll love it, but mean. IF HE DOES…I’ll just go ahead and make sure I’m keeping my potential stage-momness in check.
