Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part II
…was perfect. It is 100% perfection.
When I finished Deathly Hallows the book I was immediately visited with this sense of total closure, peace, and happiness. I was worried that the movies wouldn’t provide me with that, that they’d somehow tweak it so that there were unanswered questions or something I was still wondering — but they didn’t. I left the theater with the exact same feeling I had after reading the book.
I was just SO HAPPY. I still AM so happy.
I’m seeing it again this weekend with Stephen, and then hopefully many more times. I cried, cheered, screamed, laughed, gasped, and shook with emotion. It was — and is — amazing.
My brother and I have seen all eight films in theaters together, and our sister has come to seven of them — once I didn’t check her out of school because she wasn’t as into it (at the time). You guys..it’s hard to explain how happy I am that we have seen them all together. I love sharing this with them.
PS: The guy photo-bombing us is my sister’s boyfriend, so it’s not completely random.
