Budding bees and buzzing flowers

Much to my SUPREME disappointment, I actually don’t need glasses. I found this out over a week ago but kept forgetting to follow-up (on this post). I’m considering buying frames and wearing lenses that have no prescription just to get the urge out, though, and someone linked me to Zenni Optical, aka cheap frames heaven, which makes this all the more tempting.

Today one of Jasper’s “friends” (they had never met before today, but it’s nice to use the word) came over for a few hours while her parents tried out a new yoga class. The two of them (the kids) mostly had a lot of fun. I say mostly because it can be a little trying on everyone when two or more two-year-olds play together — how will you dictate sharing? What if someone hits someone else? Etc.

Our rule is to put anyway any toys that are The Favorite, so that way no one fights over it. This works, but Jasper still usually has a very emotional moment (heavy sigh, lays down on his belly with his face buried into the floor, hands over eyes) when a few key things (harmonica, ukulele, various balls) are played with by anyone else. Luckily he has no problem sharing books and plastic animals, so for the most part — the two or three hours she was hanging with us rocked.

BUT MAN. I totally, totally, totally am so glad we didn’t have twins. Mostly.

Also, I’m finally getting around to following up on that one Mementos video I made forever ago. Here’s the second installment:
